We are multi (multiple personalities), a crew of folks who share a body. We've been making comics and zines about it for a good while, but here's some of the quick 101 stuff that folks sometimes want to know about us!
Rogan: he/him. Workhorse artist. Mac's hubby, Biff's boyfriend.
Sneak: ze/zer. Bubbly ray of sunshine. Loves cuteness, colors, and tarot! The MOST sociable.
Mori/M.D.: she/her. Punk zinester who does our taxes. Sounds like Jerry Lewis on estrogen.
Biff: he/him. Never talks, but usually around. Likes cooking and Marie Kondo.
Mac: he/him. Lazy and fabulous. Likes cooking, parties, and '80s dance movies.
Miranda: she/her. Queen of to-do lists and group meetings.
Bob: he/him. Elderly sci-fi nerd. All smarts, no sense. Grey's hubs.
Grace/Grey: she/her. Mostly-mute butch mama wolf. Bob's wife.
Gigi: she/her. Spooky little girl. Very shy, adores Falcon.
Falcon: he/him. Professionally mysterious, not sociable.
Rawlin: he/him. That one freakin' guy.
(Rule of thumb: If your question would be rude or brain-breaking for a family you've known for a similar amount of time, please don't ask us! Also, some plurals HATE these questions. There's no standard etiquette. When in doubt, ask!)
What do I call you? "LB" and "they" are fine in general; we don't expect people to learn all our individual names and pronouns off the bat, though we certainly appreciate when they're used. We also like "people" and "headmates."
How do I know who's talking? Ask. It's okay!
How can I talk to so-and-so? See above. We'll tell you if they're not available.
How do you decide things? Generally by group consensus. (The rest is getting there.)
What's multi feel like? Living in a haunted house with roomies, none of which you can leave.
How'd you realize you were multi? Our original died, leaving us to run things.
Who's LB? It's a group name, the way you'd say the Red Sox or Microsoft. It's not an individual. (It stands for Loony-Brain, because back in 2007, we thought this was just a silly phase we were going through, so we might as well choose a ridiculous group name, which we would surely never regret. Joke's on us!)
What about the body I see in real life? Is that LB? It's more like an RV made of meat than an individual human being. Be nice to it.
What are your diagnoses? Only Medicare knows!
Can you prove you're multi? Nope! And we don't try. We encourage you to come to your own conclusions!
Do you want to be one person again? We've known folks who've done it, but it's not for us. It'd be too big a life change, losing spouses, friends, and self all in one go.
What made you? Don't know! Trauma, fiction, and religion all seem to have played roles.
This covers the basics. If you're craving more details, try our (much-longer) Loony-Brain Primer.
